Fit Guide
The quickest way to find your size is the pair you already wear. Every pair of sunglasses prints its size on the inside of a temple arm. Compare those three numbers with the measurements on any Peppers product page.
What do the numbers on sunglasses mean?
Peppers prints the size on the inner right temple, like this: 57 ☐ 16 140. All three are in millimetres.
- 57, lens width: how wide each lens is. This drives how big the frame looks on your face.
- 16, bridge: the gap between the lenses, where the frame sits on your nose.
- 140, temple length: the arm, from the hinge to the tip behind your ear.
Within a couple of millimetres of a pair that fits you well, you're in the right size.
Medium or large?
Each product page states the fit. Most Peppers frames are a medium or a large fit. The style number tells you too: an S, M or L in its first two letters means small, medium or large.
Which base curve should I choose?
Base curve is how curved the lens is.
- 4 base: nearly flat. A classic look, with less coverage at the sides.
- 6 base: a moderate wrap. It suits most people in most conditions, with wide coverage and no edge distortion.
- 8 base: a full wrap. It blocks light and wind coming in from the sides. Pick it for the water, or when you're moving fast.
Every Peppers product page states the base curve. More on lenses and frames.
Wear prescription glasses?
Select frames are Rx-able, which means they can take prescription lenses. Peppers doesn't fit them. An optician does.
